GDSA co-organizes breakfast dialogue at the Responsible Business Forum

September 2017 (Johannesburg, South Africa): Under the theme ‘Accelerating Inclusive Growth to Deliver the Sustainable Development Goals' the Responsible Business Forum on Sustainable Development was held for the first time in Johannesburg, South Africa from August 31st to September 1st. The Forum brought together speakers and delegates from regional government, UN agencies, NGOs and the private sector and was a great success, with participants from over 30 countries in attendance.

Over the two days, delegates discussed practical ways to accelerate inclusive growth to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals. Collaboration, partnerships and the interconnectivity of the Goals were the focus of the African agenda.

As part of this forum, the GDSA worked to co-organize a breakfast dialogue together with BirdLife International. With speakers from the Natural Capital Coalition, Integrated Sustainability Services, and Conservation International, it was an opportunity for participants to hear case studies - and discuss - how natural capital can be mainstreamed into private sector decision making.
